Joan's Biography

 

Joan Pringle's acting career spans thirty-five years with appearances in a variety of plays on stages from New York to Beverly Hills, daytime and primetime TV shows, films and commercials.

She is best known for her role as the tough but dedicated and caring principal, Sybil Buchanon, in the critically acclaimed CBS TV primetime series "The White Shadow," which earned her an NAACP Image Award as outstanding actress in a dramatic series.

Her film credits include original Sin, Gia and JD's Revenge while her stage credits include her role of Polly in the critically acclaimed "Up the Mountain." Her most recent credits include a guest appearance on "Enterprise" and a recurring role on "Resurrection Boulevard" and as Eunice in the popular UPN TV situation comedy "One on One." Joan love of Jazz and theatre combine in her spellbinding performance as Billie Holiday in Lanie Robertson's "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill."
